The ministry challenge
Prayer is talked about often but practised privately, if at all.
The idea
One printed guide, one prayer focus per day, and pocket cards so every person can pray for a neighbor by name.
Why it creates connection: Pairs people as prayer partners and gives families a shared rhythm.
Who it's for
Whole church — a good fit for prayer and church-wide ministry teams who want to encourage prayer, increase participation, build relationships.
How it works
- 01
Launch Sunday: hand every attender a guide and pocket prayer cards.
- 02
Daily: a short prayer prompt by email and on the church's social feed.
- 03
Weekly: small groups pray through the week's theme together.
- 04
Final Sunday: a night of prayer and shared stories of answered prayer.
What materials are needed

Announce it from the stage and in your email. Start social posts and a website feature.
2 weeks before
Put printed pieces in people's hands — bulletin insert, cards, or posters. Share the sign-up or next step clearly.
Week of
Final reminder across slides, email, and social. Personally invite people who are on the edge.
During (30 days)
Keep in-person touchpoints warm — greeters, tables, and leaders who know the plan.
After
Say thank you, share one story of what happened, and point people to the next step.
